Smart Key

designed for:

GA Smart Building

GA Smart Building delivers turnkey, high-end office construction through large-scale prefabrication. More recently, their focus has shifted toward intelligent, sustainable buildings equipped with multilayer smart sensors to drive efficiency and create a net positive impact.

To give users direct access to these systems, I helped develop a new personal interface that enables secure interaction between people and their environment.

TRUE CONTROl.

Designed to be carried by all employees, the Smart Key enabled both preset and point-and-click interaction with Smart System products across the GA office environment.

Through a compact interface, it controlled lighting, climate, and automated blinds, while the recessed fingerprint scanner provided secure facility access, parking entry, and even cafeteria payment.

GA Smart Sense.

At the core of the GA Smart System is a compact, ceiling-mounted sensor hub that monitors temperature, light, air quality, and receives Smart Key input and location data.

For building efficiency, real-time feedback enables proactive adjustments—such as lowering and angling blinds on a west-facing facade before afternoon heat builds, reducing cooling demand.

For users, the system personalizes comfort by automatically adjusting lighting and climate based on preset preferences and location, creating a seamless and enjoyable experience.

When I joined the GA design team, the Smart Key was already in its final design stages. My role focused on updating and refining CAD drawings to specifications from GA R&D and external production advisors.

I also produced presentation renders to showcase the Smart Key family to senior stakeholders, clients, and partners. Production began in 2019, and the system is now used daily by hundreds of employees in GA-built offices.
